Set a (real-world) date for any calendar. Pull moon phases--I like moongiant.com--that start on that date and update automagically on following calendar dates. Perhaps a small icon in the top right of the calendar entry.

Support for weird or multiple moons might be down the road...but an Earth-standard moon phase calculator would be trivial to implement.
