Login Pains disuade new users

The current login model is only really simple if a user is comfortable sharing their app permissions to Google. If not, it's tedious at best.
1) Recommend have a simple password login option like many other apps.
2) New invitees receive a Code, not a link, and it can only be used directly in the form LK takes you to after you enter your email address. If you close the browser because the email took a long time to send, you have to start over. Poor user experience.
3) The email takes a long time to arrive (seems to be on average > 3 minutes) and the code says it expires in 10 minutes.

Maybe adding passkey could be an alternative?

You can see time to inbox for the most common email providers here: https://tti.postmarkapp.com/ .
I'm not totally against adding passwords, but it does become a security vector that we didn't have to deal with before.

Braden has discussed this previously over on the discord.
There is a level of compliance and security (Read GDPR) that either needs to be built which carries risk or having to pay a 3rd party to handle it.
That being said email links hitting your mailbox are delays on part of your email provider working with LKs which is not something controllable hence the 10 min expiry: https://tti.postmarkapp.com/ <- LK's email service provider time to delivery
The new invite process could be streamlined though.
