Track party path on map
EarthlyBear
Have an easy way to place down path marks on an map. To for example show, over time, where the party have travelled etc.

I would see this working like the whiteboard option. Where we could draw on a layer using a dashed or dotted line. But yeah, +1 to this for sure.

Map Overlays

For some of my larger maps I have made overlays (countries, faction influences, regions / counties that span less or more than a single country, ...). It would be really great to be able to use that in LegendKeeper as a toggle-able overlay.
I would like to be able to upload a 2nd file, with identical measurements, that I can mark as an overlay that can be displayed with a certain alpha value on top of the map image itself (but under the pin layer, I think).
I guess this could also be solved by having a decent annotation system (free drawings with colour pickers and alpha control, text boxes, etc.)

Hey, I think it is roughly already planed, the feature request is called Map Layers (https://legendkeeper.canny.io/feature-requests/p/map-layers) maybe you can add your ideas with the alpha value there in a comment?
Also maybe I misunderstood your idea, in that case sorry for bothering :)

A thing that was proposed in the old Discord thread on this subject and feels very important: layers could be both texturable and raster-erasable. That way you could have just a plain black layer to serve as Fog of War for players in a TTRPG campaign for example; or add a cloud texture to make it prettier; or make it another lower detail map, so your "FoW" layers can reflect your players' level of knowledge for an area.

Map measuring tools

Michael Cuomo
As a game master, I’d like to have measuring tools built into the map, so that I can measure the distances (miles, days of travel, etc) between pins or other locations on a map.
Examples include grids (hex/square), ruler, ability to draw a line on a road, and maybe radius/circle.
