Using the same/similar region tools to select and remove areas from within regions, being able to both add, and remove.

My initial use case is for mapping out a large region but then removing sections from within as to count as unclaimed/uninhabited. Currently, I adjust the borders of the region around an area, then combine ending strands together, which creates gaps, or overlaps, when viewing the region.
