Feature Requests

Ideally we get a proper color picker with a "recent" history of picked colors attached so that we can customize the coloring of each element added to a board (frames, notes, shapes, text, lines, etc.)

It'd be nice to have shapes in the board that mimic common dice polygons, currently there are polygons up to the octagon (8-sided), but a few more would be nice: Decagon (10 sided) Dodecagon (12 sided) Icosagon (20 sided) This would mean we could make diagrams with shapes matching a dice roll (with optional descriptive text included).

A visual mind map that shows all the connections to other pages

Currently, the smallest option to link to a page on a board is too big for some uses. For example, when making any kind of node map you either have to make it really large or you can't use pages as the nodes directly (plus, the square page link with image looks a little weird when used as a node). A simple solution to this would be an XS sizing for page links that just turns it into a labeled dot or "pin." Alternatively, though this gets a little bit into same design space as maps, the pin functionality from the Atlas could be useful if ported over to boards.

When I insert text on the board, I can change the color. But there is no pure black available, for example. A color palette or a larger selection would be very nice.

Currently, all shapes seem to have a square boundary for inner text. This makes it easy for text to overflow and poke outside of the lines of that shape. The triangle is particularly bad and doesn't feel usable if you want to have inner text while keeping that text inside the borders. It would be nice if the "text boundaries" matched the shape's lines. That way text fills in and distributes nicely, and doesn't overflow outside of the shape's borders

I plan to use the Board to manage character sheets. I think a feature that would make it ideal for this is a dedicated Score component. This would be similar to a Text component, but with key differences: It would be designed specifically for numeric values. It would include intuitive commands for quick adjustments (like adding +X or subtracting -Y).

In Blades in the Dark (and other rpgs), we use "clocks" to represent escalations. These are 4, 6, or 8 piece "pie" circles that can be filled in to show progress toward certain goals. It'd be great if this could be included in Boards.

In Boards V1, you could toggle the grid with ctrl + shift + g. This is no longer possible in V2. Additionally, the toggle state of the grid resets to its default of enabled whenever a board is loaded. This is pretty annoying for Firefox, since it has some performance issues with the grid enabled. Braden already mentioned looking at implementing a memory for the toggle on the Discord, but I thought I should probably make an FR for the sake of trackability.
